A master thief. A crown gone missing. And a cat who always lands on her feet.
Detective Catherine Nine Lives Purr is the youngest lead investigator in Glopol history – and she has a nose for mystery. When diamonds vanish without a trace and a priceless emerald crown disappears during a glamorous costume party, it’s up to Cat and her brilliant team to sniff out the truth.
But the thief is a master of disguise, and the clues lead across cities, dazzling ballrooms and straight into a wild goose chase across continents. Can Cat Purr and her crew catch the crooks before the next rare treasure vanishes? Packed with clues, laughs, and just the right amount of fur, this is one adventure you won’t want to put down.
Jo Rimmer has always been dedicated to writing for children aimed at the development of their divergent thinking skills. In 1995, she established an independent school in Pretoria, South Africa, attended by pupils from 87 countries, following the Cambridge International Pathway from Stage 1 to A Level. Her responsibility from 2003 to 2022 was the implementation of the Cambridge International Curriculum, covering all management functions for the Cambridge Primary Programme, including the design and development of original and creative learner material from Stage 1 to A Level; also teaching History to IGCSE and AS/A Level students for 12 years. In 2023 she began a different journey with Detective Cat Purr developing it into an illustrated novel. Originally the story was presented as a theme package for a primary English, Science, and Mathematics programme. In 2005 she started her real journey with it, thus, Detective Catherine Nine Lives Purr and her team grew into a dynamic modern crime fighting unit of the Global Police [Glopol] in charge of solving the most baffling cases.
