Fast climbs. Sudden drops. No safety rails.
Life is a Rollercoaster is a bold, evocative journey from childhood wonder to adult reckoning. Through free verse and rhyme, these poems trace love, loss, hope and resilience as time gathers speed.
Life is never smooth, never simple—and always worth the ride.
Brought up on a farm near Dartmoor, Sally May Harper studied history and psychology and went on to build a successful career in publishing. She has written for as long as she can remember, entering competitions, learning on the way and seeing her poems published in small collections.
A young woman in and out of love, travel, heartbreak, marriage and being a mum of four have quietly shaped her writing, alongside a close attention to nature and people. Sally was once told that ‘to grow a garden in your own heart’ is the most important thing in life. She’s working on that. She now divides her time between Richmond in Surrey and Tuscany.
